So, Saturday morning was suppose to be a clam, relaxing morning. I was going to go to the Eastern Market to take some pictures of the kids running around at the market, the fruit and vegetables venders and maybe some creative shots of the light rays reflecting through the soaps.
But indeed, with little expectations, it turned out to be a very busy (and very hot) day on Capitol Hill as Sen. Ted Kennedy’s coffin procession stopped on the steps of the Eastern entrance to the Senate building for a last solemn goodbye to the Massachusetts representative who served the Senate seat for 47 years.
Even though I am still working on getting my Press Pass from Italy, I fought with other reporters, photographers and avid Teddy’s supporters for five hours to gain a front-line spot who allowed me to shoot these photos.
